Will We Fly In The Fresh Air?!

Jun-26-2009 By admin

“I love this type of vision where you set the goal and then try to find a way to reach it, because this is challenging.” Bertrand Picard to BBC News

Another slashing example of the result what people can accomplish by dreaming, planning and acting. Another group of positively crazy people. They are creating a solar plane capable to fly non-stop around the world in a maximal altitude of 8.5 kilometers with a speed of 70 kilometers per an hour. Just imagine – slowly, worthy and softly like an eagle:-).

Must remark here that they haven’t invented yet a batteries for Bertrand Picard who will pilot this wonderwork:-). In any case this isn’t an obstacle for such team! So, best regards and good luck !

Here’s the full story.

“The person who is waiting for something to turn up might start with their shirt sleeves.”

Garth Henrics

I haven’t posted for some time. The reason is simple through and through. My hands were busy for some time but the noodle was totally empty at the same time. How’s that? Motivational Thoughts had left me and I had seated on antidepresants, no! I was engaged into our BMX track reconstruction for a spell. My older son Dāvis is BMXer and our club have a track near the town. By the way – the first BMX champion of the Olympic in Peking last year Maris Strombergs is a member of our club too. He has outgrew on this track.

So, this year a club (riders and parents) decided to reconstruct the track and this arrangement coinsided with my vacation. The shovel, the rammer, some beer and a group of like-minded freaks became my closest companions for this time. Like I said hands were busy… But some strange power started hold back me from down sitting infront of my PC each evening. What a $#@% is wrong with me?! I hadn’t time to clarify this because… I was asleep already. Besides I felt that I had no any bright idea for a blog post after some time. It was frustrating at the beginning until I sensed that emptiness in my head is reliefing. It were realy good feelings forth. I had a free mind, nothing can bite me and Motivational Thoughts attended me of itself.Seemed like performing of brutal physical work can clean up my always occupied nob.

By the way – the Wikipedia says that: “Manual labour is physical work done with the hands, especially in an unskilled job such as fruit and vegetable picking, road building, or any other field where the work may be considered physically arduous, and which has as a profitable objective, usually the production of goods.” The only mishap was that a term “unskilled job” nagged a bit my selfconfidence at the outset. Then I decided to perceive my “unskilled job” as an exercise: “Physical exercise is any bodily activity that … bla bla bla. It also improves mental health and helps prevent depression.” Another cup of tea! It was motivational enough for me. From medieval slave to progressive-minded citizen of the New Age! I know that there are lot of fitness groups or individuals in the World that use a hammer and a truck tire as training equipment – it’s very trendy by the way. They belabouring a tire like a maniacs about an hour then throwing a hammer and leave home tired to the bone. None economical effect as well. Thus I forgot about what Wiki said about a “manual labour” and killed two birds with one stone – performed public-profitable activity and enhance my physical and mental health (I’m certain from the bottom of my heart that consumed ammount of bear haven’t harm them in no shape).

No matter how someone will perceive this post – I’m calling to think a bit about. Just look around you – maybe thre’s some physical activity around with some wider sense than your six pack abs. Maby it is worth to chose it this bout instead of instant visiting of the gym. The gym is the same environment as your office and your mind can’t rest so well as it would be somewhere outdoors with couple of good friends by performing some physical manual labour and, yes, even with some pints of barmy. Good Motivational Thoughts will occur your unfettered mind because you would be free the space for its.

Among other things – in the case if you are working on the stone-pit for instance you can use this simple system inverted pro rata (alike but upside down). If you do boring physical work already just try to give some time for a mental load. I admit that in this case you prefer TV instead of the gym. There’s the same – TV is the same environment, try to change it though sometimes. Read a book or force yourself to go to the theatre. Just do something that diversify your routine and who knows – maybe something will change in our life in the course of time. Just imagine such Motivational Thought – the society are structured by red-blooded, free-minded people and you are one of them.

“Men are made stronger on realization that the helping hand they need is at the end of their own arm.”

Sidney J. Phillips
