Motivational Thoughts – The Spark Of Your Burning Desire

Archive for February, 2009

„The best motivation is self-motivation. The gay says: „I wish someone would come by and turn me on.” What if they don’t show up? You’ve got to have better plan for your life.”

John Rohn

It is plain and proof! What can we do if we need a motivation? Where can we find it? How can we feed our Motivational Thoughts to grow our motivation?

OK, we can find someone or something who give it to us. Whenever it may be – our favorite book or movie (in case if we don’t like reading), our hard loving rock star or pop star (in case if we don’t like reading :-)   ). If we are in love with WWW we can become the most motivated person constantly (in case if we don’t depart a monitor :-)  ) because internet is a gold mine of motivational thoughts (the odds are that the Adwords ads section on the blog will be shining example).

On the other hand… We can motivate ourselves with progress! Any of our previous achievements, no matter small or big can motivate us if we will keep it in our memory and will believe that we can iterate it. „My brain is already busy with my casual problems – work or business, spouse, kids, neighbors and other wiggles” – most of us could object. Let’s try to make our motivation resources more effective and return to them more frequently to maintain our motivation high enough! Let’s create ours Motivational Thoughts – more powerful and more familiar for us than just positive quotes of headliners (who often are fare away from real life)!

By writing this I’m arriving to my way of motivation. I want to share it with you by real hope that it’ll turn out very helpful for you too. It’s not just a method, it’s my SUPERSECRETPSYCHOLOGICALFORMULA :-) how to setup a very powerful motivational resources. Here it is – my self-made Motivation Posters, my Good Memory Cocktail:

  • Take some past moments of your life (few pictures or videos from big or small adventure or just good holiday for example, quality doesn’t matter in this case because you do it for you not for a bounty of Oscar).
  • Add some positive quotes of some famous dead people (you can choose a lively too, of course :-) ) or just your own funny text.
  • Dilute that all with your favorite music (I don’t support piracy but sometimes use it, hush…;-)).
  • Finally shake it all by the way of any movie making software (I’m using Windows Movie Maker. I found it by accident in programs section one day long after carrier delivered my PC – I’m not tech at all :-) )

That’s all! It will take about a half an hour but it is powerful!

This about five minutes or so clip will be more powerful then some gigabytes of our pictures or videos we are keeping somewhere on the WWW or our PC in common with hills of our picture albums lying dusty somewhere on the attic. Our memory files quantity doesn’t guarantee a quality of our ability of motivating. If we oblige ourselves to revise and select the best ones we will get colorful and powerful self-motivation „super secret weapon” for creating our Motivational Thoughts. OK! To arms!

For true success ask yourself these questions: WHY? WHY NOT? WHY NOT ME? WHY NOT NOW?

People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.”

 Zig Ziglar

Sometimes or often, we are looking for motivation. We need it to accomplish something (no matter big or small) or turn some corner because life isn’t straightway always. We are looking for it more often nowadays in these „hard times”. Motivational Thoughts can turn out as a swallow of the fresh air for us, but – damn it! What a hell the motivation is and where can we find it specially if times are tough?! OK, let’s dig bit deeper by such as „scientific approach”.

So, what the wikipedia.org says about motivation? „Motivation is the set of reasons that determines one to engage in a particular behavior.” Aha! That’s why I can’t waken on my workdays :-)  ! If serious – if you haven’t reasons to do something, you couldn’t do this. Thus if you face with a thing you must clear but can’t find power for it you must find some reasons in YOU. None could do this for you because everyone has reasons itself and none can be in your boots. You must stimulate your motivation by all possible ways.

„According to various theories, motivation may be rooted in the basic need to minimize physical pain and maximize pleasure or it may include specific needs such as eating and resting, or a desired object, hobby, goal, state of being, ideal, or it may be attributed to less-apparent reasons such as altruism, morality or avoiding morality.” „… basic need to minimize physical pain and maximize pleasure” – this is a trap for so many of us. We want to see maximum results with maximum efforts. Oh, shit! – Such a slim thing is motivation :-) ! But we can be crazy like foxes too! We’ll just set up and concentrate on presumably smaller steps to achieve our main goal and will produce Motivational Thoughts to keep up our concentration.

I want to draw the line for today by positive quote of Napoleon Hill – „Thoughts that a human keeping in his mind and linking with some kind of emotions, producing the motivational power that managing and monitoring the life of that human completely.” (Sorry for translating, I read it in Latvian :-) )

OK! That’s enough. I hope to receive a word from you! Following Zig Ziglars advice I’m going to take a shower now :-) , aren’t you?
