Tale about the Little Knight
Little Knight celebrated that day. It was a great anniversary. Little knight had achieved an age of five. Kinfolks had come from far and wide. Little knight received presents and praises from his quests.
Some older neighbor knights hove around. Of course, they were not so interested in congratulation than seeing the cousin of the little knight. Actually, they were not so dusty but this time they seemed too pushy.
Seems there was a problem for the little knight. He knew that everyone of them could overcome him by itself and they were four withal. Did this could stop him from intention to drive away bounders? Not at all!
He just figured out which pole from those who stood at the entrance would be most accordant with his ability and strength of the opponents. A further incident happened quickly then. The obvious determination of the little knight, the size of the pole he wielded and his clear action constrained foursome to change their plans – they retreated.
Why did I tell this tale? It was I. Now I try to awake the little knight in me every time I am facing with disability to solve some problem. I will simply – every time when I am facing with fear. I do not talk here about natural – survival fear that is good feature if properly understood and helps us maintain our health and life. I am talking about various fictional fears such as fear of error or failure, or fear what others will think or say about you and your action.
Sometimes we cannot manage some problem in work, family or life. Solution would not endanger our health in any way, quite the contrary – it would harden us and than make our life easier. Instead, to raise our self and to act we are beginning to postpone, avoid, ignore. Do not allow this to happen. Wake the little knight in you and do what you must to do. Try to stick with this and look what happens.
